Always wondered how religions have got It terribly wrong, how most of the evils in our society either stem from it or are its aftereffects. How something which has been created with such pure intentions and thoughts lead to such disastrous future. They who created it were visionaries both in terms of social and spiritual understanding, some of them were way more scientific in their approach than what could be expected from a person living in that era. Still all that knowledge and wholistic understanding from some of the most evolved beings could not provide a simple way of non confrontational existence to human kind.
What went wrong?
I myself am a believer in faith and believe that faith can make things happen, that faith can move mountains, but the only way it differs from religion is that my faith has no requirement of god.
Unfortunately over the years we have been looking at the wrong side of the cause and effect prism
We believed that its god that is responsible for us having faith, while it was faith that was truly responsible for creating God.
Man needed faith to survive in difficult and harsh realities of life, it was his assurance, his hope.
But the problem was he wanted a mental anchor to base his faith on and hence he created God.
Over a period of time God took precedence over faith and belief as it was easier to visualise and comprehend when you personify your belief.
Didn't those wise man who thought of creating religion and the concept of god know about it?
I think they knew it, but they stuck to the concept of god for easier acceptance and comprehension.
I think this easy way has lead to crazy amount of interpretations all based on a warped logic that 'God created Man'.
If only the religions were based on the premise that Man created God, we would have had far less issues in this world.
